Wall Street Institute held the first meeting of its Educational Advisory Board (EAB), which is composed of experts in the field of teaching English as a Second Language, on October 11, 2008 in Baltimore, MD.
The EAB’s Mission is to advise and guide the company on key issues related to English language learning. The first meeting focused on reviewing applications of second language learning theory, discussing current trends in technology and computer-aided language learning, and determining best practices in student testing and assessment standards. The discussion centered on how to apply the board members’ ideas and experience to the Wall Street Institute learning system.
“The meeting was a successful exchange of knowledge and ideas,” said Simon Buckland, Wall Street Institute’s Director of Curriculum Development. “Each board member has a unique specialty in the field of second language learning, and they shared their perspectives on the meeting topics. This not only resulted in lively and productive discussions, but also offered Wall Street Institute a broad picture of current research and trends in the industry.”
